My background:

I am originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I joined the U.S. Navy after high school and later was assigned to a ship, the USS Peleliu, home ported in Long Beach, California. I lived on the USS Peleliu for almost four years. I like to say that I was born and raised in Oklahoma City, but grew up on the streets of Long Beach.

After the Navy, I joined a software company in Long Beach, creating input screens for tax software. The company moved from Long Beach to Dallas, Texas and I've remained here in Dallas. I have fond memories of California and Long Beach, although the last time I was there, I was in the middle of the Rodney King Riots.

What I was hoping to get out of this class:

This is actually the second time taking this class, although I was not able to finish the class the first time. The instructor was Phil Likens. I struggled in the first class understanding Adobe Flash. It still can be confusing to me, although, with more practice, I feel I could work with it without creating unnecessary 'tweens' and other bad practices. This class taught by Prof. Evans, along with the purchase of the suggested book, has definitely helped me learn Adobe Flash and become confident on how to use it.
